26th December 2008 Northall's 100 bird Boxing Day shoot attracted a good number of clay shooters on what was a dry but rather bitterly cold day. However, Northall's kitchen Santas were at hand to keep everyone happy with teas, coffees and food of course to keep the winter chill at bay!
There were some great scores on the day, noteably by Steve Clark who was a clear winner with 98/100 and Danny Tarrant (whom I believe to be only 12 years old!) winning the juniors with 81/100 just to mention a few. The layout also had plenty of flash prizes which caused a few surprised looks when actually hit!! The day also included a raffle and much appreciation goes to all of you who donated raffle prizes.

£1000 raised for McMillan Nurses Charity
Steve Clark apart from winning high gun and the Danny Sargeant Trophy (in memory of his belated wife) also donated his cash prize winnings £100 back to the McMillan Nurses. A great gesture and with true Christmas spirit from Steve. In addition a special mention also to Daniel Whittaker, Cliff Goodwin, Alex Philips and Steve Golding who also donated there cash prize winnings back to charity. A highly commendable action by all them......
The raffle raised a total of £399 and together with entries and prizeback donations a total of £1000 was raised for the McMillan Nurses cause.
To complete the Boxing day shoot Dan Kerwood presented the raffle and class prizes with Danny Sargeant himself presenting the High Gun prizes.
And a special message to you all............Dan and Jan Kerwood and NorthallCPC wish to thank you all for your support today and throughout 2008 and to wish everyone 'A Happy and Prosperous New Year'. |
