Northall Clay Pigeon club have a Health and Safety Policy and all shooters and visitors are required to comply with these rules and safety measures that are in place. The following
are some of rules that everyone on arrival to the ground must
adhere to.

NORTHALL CLAY SHOOTING CLUB
SAFETY RULES
GENERAL
If you are injured at the ground, seek appropriate First Aid. Details
of the injury and how it occurred should be reported to a representative
of Northall Clay Shooting Club.
In the event of an emergency at the ground there will be the sound
of a whistle. When this happens all shooting must stop. All guns to
be opened and unloaded. All traps to be made safe.
Everybody has a duty to ensure that he/she behaves in a manner that
is safe and unlikely to cause harm or injury to themselves or others.
SHOOTERS
All guns will be required to be kept broken and unloaded except
when in the shooting stand and ready to shoot. Semi automatic guns
must have a safety flag in the chamber with the barrel pointing up.
Guns can only be loaded when the barrel end is over the cross bar
on each shooting stand (sporting / compac layouts)
All cartridges used at NORTHALL CLAY SHOOTING GROUND will be felt
or plastic wad with a maximum load of 28 grams (1 oz)and
a maximum shot size of No 7.
All shooters must keep to the designated pathways and within the
cordoned area, and any clearly defined safety zones.
All shooters must wear appropriate ear protectors when shooting,
and are advised to wear eye protectors. Eye and ear protectors are available at the Club House. Ear protectors (not ear plugs) are free for use on the ground.
PUBLIC
All members of the public must keep to the designated pathways and
within any cordoned area, and not to stray into any unauthorised area.
Ear protectors(for use at the ground only) are available at the club house.
