Team from Finland at Northall Oct 2008

Northall CPC hosts
International competition
for disabled shooters

An international cast of 25+ clay shooters from Finland, Ireland, Wales, Scotland and England came to Northall Clay Pigeon Club in what is believed to be a first ever International clay shoot for disabled shooters to be held at local level. Much work was done by organiser Paul Pantzer (a regular Northall shooter and of the Sussex DCSG) in conjunction with ground owner Dan Kerwood to ensure everyone had a great two days of competition shooting. The competition consisted of 'Sitting and Standing' catagories covering ABT and English Sporting disciplines, with awards for Day 1 & 2 and combined totals. On closing the competition the Mayor of Brighton & Hove attended Northall CPC and presented medals and prizes. And the weather was even kind to us!!........ Northall wish to thank the Mayor and everyone who helped in the success of this competition and especially the shooters & supporters who made the long journey to the South of England. You can view photos of the event here......23rd Oct 2008

Caesar Geurini at Northall CPC 2008
Caesar Guerini at Northall......... Caesar Guerini are striking out in the UK market, contending for quality workmanship with their make of shotguns. They took the opportunity to visit Northall Clay Pigeon Club and in doing so provided Northall shooters the chance to try out the new type of shotguns first hand. A few prizes were also up for grabs!!. Roger Clark was one who was very impressed with the gun and won himself a shooting vest.....well done Roger. The guns are noteable for having a very high rib...............sounds to me a gun worth looking at..................

Guy with coach Dan
Beijing for Charlotte
In preparation for the Olympic Games Charlotte took the opportunity to get some good Olympic trap practice in when she recently shot in the World OT Championships in Beijing. Her training went exceedingly well with some high scoring rounds including a 25 straight. She commented that the shooting ground (where the Olympic Games will be held) was amazing. In the main competition having shot two excellent rounds her third round was not quite enough to get her into the final. She went onto say that the experienced gained from this visit was invaluable in her preparation for the forthcoming Games.....23rd April 08

Charlotte takes Silver
in World Championships

Charlotte made her mark at the Olympic Trap World Championships held in Santo Domingo, Domincan Republic, when she finished just 4 shorts behind in the final to finish with 91/100. At the preliminary stage she was equal first with the eventual winner Italian Galisio on 72 a piece with Charlotte straighting the third round. Going into the final round the weather took a turn for the worst but it was Charlotte and Galisio keeping it together. However Charlotte had to maintain her cool with the French Lady Racinet close on her heels. Charlotte made sure of her Silver medal when she hit the final shot, with the French Lady missing hers.......you can see her in action in the event here. (NB. link may change!)
