Charity Shoot ....... Saturday 21st April saw the Fire Brigade's Charity shoot in aid of the Children's Fire & Burns Trust and a massive £1700 was raised by the end of the day. It was a lovely Summers day (considering we are still in April) and some good and varied targets were laid on for the ocassion. The High gun went to Steve Clark and Henry Devall who both shot a superb 79 and the true sportsman that they are donated the winnings back to the charity. On form Darren Barten won A class with 76. Shaun Caswell won B Class with 68, and an exciting finish in C class saw an exciting shoot off between young Oli Meekins and visitor Colin Griday who both finished on 64. It was Oli in the end who kept it together to win the shoot off by one shot. There was also a close finish in the Pool shoot which had some very challenging targets with Brian Gibson and Dan Kerwood both finishing with a 9/10. After another exciting shoot off Dan got the extra shot to win. To finish.....we would like to take this opportunity of thanking everyone who attended the shoot and contributed towards this fine cause....
